On a privileged corner plot in Ypsonas, Limassol, a three-storey residential building is currently under design. The design is inspired by the two public green spaces located opposite the site.
The project aims to enhance the public realm by visually connecting the two green spaces. The building is positioned along the northern edge of the plot, allowing a generous common garden to open toward the south.
All apartments have big verandas facing the surrounding streets—east, south, and west—ensuring that the main living spaces such as kitchens and living rooms are oriented away from the less attractive northern side.
The first and second floors accommodate two two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments each, while the third floor hosts two three-bedroom apartments. This mix responds to different housing needs, creating a diverse residential community.
Full-height openings provide abundant natural light and ventilation, while wrap-around balconies soften the experience of apartment living. The material palette includes light-colored plaster, glass balcony balustrades, and a copper-toned Alucobond cladding for the staircase, which becomes a unifying architectural feature on the façade.
With generous greenery, large openings, and spacious balconies, the building challenges the notion that apartment living cannot be comfortable, airy, and beautiful.
